Oxytocin Injection (synthetic) contains 20 U.S.P. units of Oxytocin activity per ml in a clear colourless aqueous solution. The clinical and pharmacological properties of Oxytocin Injection (synthetic) are identical with those of the natural product. It may be used;- To evacuate tissue and debris from the uterus in cases of pyometra or endometritis-To arrest post-partum uterine hemorrhage - To treat agalactia in sows and cows - To aid in evacuation debridement and drainage in mastitis
Indications
Cows & Mares – 2.5 to 5 ml Sows & Ewes – 1.5 to 2.5 ml Dogs 0.5 to 1.5 ml Cats 0.25 to 0.27 ml. To stimulate milk let-down give one half of the above dosage
